Auswide Bank is a Queensland based Australian bank, where we value our people and most of all, our customers.  Our vision is to be a leader in banking in our communities.  As a Lending Analyst your ultimate responsibility is to provide a customer oriented service between the Bank and Brokers, Branch Lenders, Relationship Managers.  As part of the Loan Origination Services team you will provide support for broker referred and lender/relationship manager mortgage applications. This is achieved by ensuring an efficient and timely journey of the end to end lending process, including the assessment and verification of supporting financial documentation that relate to Home Loan applications.

Day to day your role will include but not limited to:

  • Processing and validation of loan applications and supporting documentation that relate to Home Loan applications whilst adhering to the Banks credit policy.

  • Resolve issues for Brokers / Lenders / Relationship Managers relating to application and credit structuring;

  • Handling phone enquiries from brokers / Lenders/ Relationship Managers regarding progress updates and further information required to decision application;

  • Manage your own work flow and the overall workflow of files moving through Loan Origination Service process including monitoring processes and internal /external stakeholder workflow of loan applications;

  • Complete income, employment verification, credit checks, order valuations and review.

  • Submission of Applications to Lenders Mortgage Insurers (LMI).

  • Update LOS Workflow Manager and manage workflow pressures.

  • To ensure all allocated duties are completed to Auswide Bank’s policy and procedures including privacy guidelines and any other applicable laws / legislation

  • To follow directions from your immediate Supervisor, the Head of Loan Origination Services and the Chief Operating Officer;

Essential Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communications skills with the ability to adapt to change and be highly motivated

  • Sound understanding of the banking industry and associated regulatory requirements

  • Experience in processing home loan applications (Self-Employed, Trusts, Company & Partnerships would be an advantage).

  • Strong financial analysis and understanding of structuring of income streams and security arrangements.

  • To work as an efficient team member, participate in problem solving initiatives and innovation to enhance the organisations capabilities

  • Ability to gain knowledge of core banking systems, Ultracs and LendFast

  • Ability to gain knowledge of the Banks credit policy procedures and policy for Consumer Mortgage Lending

Skill Level:

A Level 4 position is one in which tasks and service requirements are performed using a more extensive range of skills and knowledge at a level higher than required at Level 3.  Those employed at this level are responsible for their own work and any employees under their control.

Positions at this level require the application of relevant specialist knowledge and experience.

Those employed at this level would be required to advise on a range of activities and contribute to the determination of objectives within the required area of expertise.
