Auswide Bank is a Queensland based Australian Bank, where we value our people and most of all, our customers. Our vision is to be a leader in banking in our communities.  As an Auswide Bank Lending Consultant your ultimate responsibility is to obtain Home Loans, initiate the sale of Auswide Bank products and to promote Auswide Bank within your area of operation. You are also to develop marketing plans and strategies specific for your area of operations and liaise with the Head of South Queensland, and relevant personnel from Head Office to effectively implement such plans.

Key duties include:

  1. Provide assistance and solutions to clients applying for or taking loan applications by conducting personal or phone interviews from either premises supplied by Auswide Bank or other location as dictated by the client's needs.
  2. Assess and recommend for approval loan applications.
  3. Follow up of Loan Applications and assist clients with documentation.
  4. Complete all loans processing in a timely and efficient manner.
  5. Sale of Auswide Bank products which include, Credit Cards and Personal Insurance.
  6. Develop loan contacts through third party originators so as to establish an ongoing relationship.


  • Report directly to the Head of South Queensland.
  • To work as an efficient team member, participate in problem solving initiatives and innovation to enhance the organisation's capabilities.
  • To provide exceptional customer service and to continually strive to exceed Auswide Bank's expected exceptional service standards.
  • To strive to complete assigned tasks and duties accurately, completely and by designated deadlines.
  • To work co-operatively with other personnel and external partners to achieve the company's objectives, assigned tasks and duties.

If you are successful for a role with Auswide Bank, it is a condition of employment that background screening is completed to ensure that the Bank complies with its own obligations and requirements under the Anti-Money Laundering and Counter Terrorism Financing Act. These checks will include a minimum of a Criminal History check, Bankruptcy check, ASIC Banned & Disqualified Persons check and Employment checks.

Skill Level

A Level 5 position is one in which tasks, service requirements and supervisory functions are performed using a more extensive range of skills and knowledge at a higher level than required at Level 4.

The position may be:

  1. A specialised role, possibly supported by one or two junior staff members, requiring formal qualifications and/or specialised vocational training; and/or
  2. A managerial role (managing 5-10 people) responsible for the operation of part or parts of the employer's business.
    Those employed at this level exercise considerable discretion and/or are responsible for operational planning.
